The story

Who Reo is · Read the full story · Frequently asked questions

In 2019, Reo drops "Dominica I From", his first single that places him in the catalogue before the big 2020s collaboration wave. In 2022, he releases "The Fresh Prince of Bouyon", his 13-track album, and defends it the same year on the World Creole Music Festival (WCMF) stage.

His catalogue blends African and Caribbean music: Bouyon, Soca, reggae, afrobeat. In 2024, "I Know Y" with Faithii and Kenny G strengthens his place in the new Dominican generation, and "Without you" with Nice, Trilla-G, Unstoppable Shax and Quan Dawg stretches his zone on the English Caribbean side.

In 2025, "You Mad" with DJ Luchshiy, Jixels and Edday connects Dominica and Guadeloupe directly, and "Dotish Love" with Nessa Preppy (Trinidad) opens the door to crossover. He follows with "Money Over Love [EP]" with Faithii, "Adios Amigos" with Jixels and LeJuh, then "Shut Up" with Khallion and Problem Child in 2026.

He keeps the momentum going with "Do What You Want" alongside Tenslay and "Rum Dat Do Me Dat" with Khallion. The peak, though, dates back to summer 2025: "La Vie Doux" with Téhilah, produced with Savion Beats and Dernz, video directed by Tridel Edwin, the single takes the top spot on Dominica's Apple Music chart.

The 2026 Caribbean Music Awards nominate him twice: Artist of the Year (Bouyon) and Song of the Year for "La Vie Doux". In 2026, he keeps the pace with "Under pressure", "CoMeSS" alongside Asa Bantan and "Bike Man" with Ras B.

From Colihaut to the Dominican catalogue

Reo is born in Colihaut, on Dominica's west coast. Before music, he earns an economics degree and sells turmeric as a spice; he switches to the mic in 2017, pushed by a producer friend, teaches himself creole in 2018, and has lived two years in France. In 2019, his first single "Dominica I From" places him in the catalogue before the big wave of collaborations to come. The same year, "Ouu La La" with Edday opens the first public trace of a bridge to the Guadeloupean scene. In 2021, "Dou dou" with Little Boy tightens the internal Dominican mesh and marks one of Little Boy's first platform traces before his CMA recognition. In 2022 he releases "The Fresh Prince of Bouyon", his 13-track album, and defends it the same year on the World Creole Music Festival (WCMF) stage. Caribbean Bouyon's central rendezvous. That year again, "I Like Woman" with Edday, Kevni and LaRose plugs him into the Bouyon Gwada transition cycle. His catalogue mixes Bouyon, soca, reggae and afrobeat from the start, a multi-genre approach that shapes everything after.

Dominican network and the 2024-2025 platform shift

From 2024 the pace accelerates. "I Know Y" with Faithii and Kenny G consolidates his place in the new Dominican generation. The same year, "Without you" with Nice, Trilla-G, Unstoppable Shax and Quan Dawg extends his range toward the anglophone Caribbean. "Wifi Freestyle" with DJ Luchshiy, Edday and Jixels and "In D Bedroom" with Freddy keep weaving the network. In 2025, "You Mad" with DJ Luchshiy, Jixels and Edday connects Dominica and Guadeloupe directly on one single, a circulation few Dominican voices practise at that point. The same year, "Money Over Love [EP]" with Faithii formalises a lasting collaborative series. "Backshot" with Edday, "Plottin" with DJ Taffy and "Adios Amigos" with Jixels and LeJuh widen the mesh further. "Trilla-G Stampede" keeps the anglophone pole close.

"La Vie Doux" at no. 1 in summer 2025, the Fresh Prince's double CMA 2026 nominations

In 2025, "Dotish Love" with Nessa Preppy (Trinidad) opens the regional crossover lane. The collaboration crosses the border between the Dominican Bouyon circuit and the Trinidadian soca sphere, a rare step that writes Reo into a wide Caribbean reading. In 2026 he keeps the chain going: "Shut Up" with Khallion and Problem Child, "Rum Dat Do Me Dat" with Khallion again, "Do What You Want" alongside Tenslay. The real tipping point dates from summer 2025: "La Vie Doux", his single with Téhilah produced alongside Savion Beats and Dernz, takes the number-one spot on Dominica's Apple Music chart, and the 2026 Caribbean Music Awards nominate him twice, Artist of the Year (Bouyon) and Song of the Year. What defines the trajectory: a central voice between Faithii, Kenny G, Edday and DJ Luchshiy, able to switch from a rough street-cut song to a love side for the girls without breaking signature. The bridge function between the Dominican scene and Guadeloupean productions, already visible in 2019 with Edday, confirms itself year after year, and his catalogue documents one of the densest networks in contemporary Caribbean Bouyon-Soca, from Colihaut to Port of Spain.
