Problem Child

Problem Child belongs to the contemporary soca generation of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. His place in the Bouyon scene is not that of a core Bouyon voice, he releases under an SVG soca label, but it documents the regularity with which, between 2025 and 2026, his voice turns up on releases from the Dominican Bouyon circuit. That regularity, going beyond the one-off featuring, justifies a detailed profile because it illustrates a wider dynamic: as Bouyon gains visibility, soca voices from SVG, Trinidad and Saint Lucia enter Dominican productions as a routine space of collaboration.

The first peak is "Fym" with Mr Ridge in 2025. Mr Ridge, the Dominican figure crowned 2x Bouyon Artist of the Year at the Caribbean Music Awards 2024 and 2025, plus Bouyon Producer 2025 , chooses Problem Child as guest voice. The collaboration places Problem Child in the visibility chain of the most institutionally recognised Bouyon artist of the year, and documents the opening of the Dominican circuit to cross-genre soca voices.

The second peak is "Shut Up" in 2026 with Khallion and Reo. The title, covered by PepseeActus, places Problem Child in a three-voice formation where each artist brings a distinct colour (SVG soca, contemporary Dominican Bouyon). That kind of configuration, several regional voices over a Dominican production, becomes in 2026 a signature of the contemporary Bouyon circuit, and Problem Child's presence twice on that configuration within a year consolidates his role as a regular rather than occasional collaborator.

Several of Problem Child's own biographical data points (civil status, main label, length of solo catalogue) are not consolidated in the public sources. What is consolidated is his regular insertion into recent Dominican releases and his role as an SVG → Dominica bridge.
