Five years of R&B before the island learned her name

Téhilah is a female voice from Dominica who did not start with Bouyon. Her first single "Dried Roses" comes out in March 2020, followed by "Dazed" the same year, an R&B lane she holds solo and in duo, with Stachy ("Move" in 2021, "Pull Up" and "Wave" in 2024) and Malii BK ("Won't Let Up"). "OvOs" and "DND BADDIE" complete the thread in 2024, "DARE" opens 2025, and the EP "Psalm 32" extends it all in January 2026. On Instagram she presents herself soberly as "Musician", managed by Higher Mentality alongside Tridel Edwin, the same Tridel Edwin who will direct the video that changes her trajectory.

"La Vie Doux", the summer of 2025 when Dominica puts her first

On 26 June 2025, "La Vie Doux" comes out with Reo, the "Fresh Prince of Bouyon", production by Savion Beats, Reo and Dernz. The title means "the sweet life", and the island takes it at its word: within days the single climbs to first place on Dominica's Apple Music Top 100, and the Dominican press (Dominica News Online, Q95) presents Téhilah as the rising breakthrough. The video, shot in Dominica by Tridel Edwin (365MMP) with Kharlen Jervier's drone, celebrates the island's landscapes and culture: nearly 40,000 views in the first week, more than 2.2 million on 24 October 2026. A year later, the Caribbean Music Awards 2026 nominate "La Vie Doux" for Song of the Year (Bouyon); on 19 September 2026, the award goes to "Bouwéy" by 1T1 and Theomaa.

"Lapidé Yo": entering the circle of headliners

On 5 April 2026, Signal Band's EP "Lapidé Yo" lands with Téhilah featuring, alongside the band, Shelly, Trilla-G and Unstoppable Shax, four of the heaviest names on the Dominican circuit right now. For a voice that arrived through R&B, singing on the same EP as the island's flagship band and two Caribbean Music Awards nominees is a place among the big rooms. Téhilah belongs to that generation of female voices who count in Bouyon without having come in through the classic door, a thread to follow across the site's chapters: Chapter X.
