St. Thomas, Th3rd House Studios: producing Bouyon from another island

A Plus Musik is a producer from St. Thomas, in the US Virgin Islands. He works out of Th3rd House Studios, building Bouyon riddims for voices that are Dominican, Vincentian or Trinidadian. The position is unusual: Bouyon is normally produced in Dominica or Guadeloupe, not from another island in the Caribbean.

RAGS, March 2025: the first Bouyon Road March in history

The title that changes his scale is "RAGS". It brings three voices together. Trilla G from Dominica, Shelly from Signal Band, and Skinny Fabulous from Saint Vincent, over a riddim whose melody draws in part on "Never Enough", from The Greatest Showman soundtrack. The writing is shared between Trilla G, Shelly and DJ Oberr. Recording runs through four studios: Th3rd House in St. Thomas, Black Shadow in Miami, 47 Studios in Trinidad and Signal Band Studio in Dominica. Dernel Green mixes and masters, Starsha lays the backing vocals.

In March 2025, during Mas Domnik, "RAGS" wins the very first edition of the Bouyon Road March: 108 votes out of 56 competing titles, voting from 5 to 7 March, more than 300 votes overall. The title finishes ahead of Signal Band's "Bye Bye Bye" (62 votes) and "My Band" (29 votes). The prize has just been created by two Dominican businessmen, Emile Depooter and Robert Tonge, to recognise what Bouyon weighs culturally and economically across the Caribbean.

The single is officially released on 4 September 2025 on Still Trill Ent., running 3 minutes 16, in 24-bit/48 kHz.

Take Me As I Am, and a producer who counts off his own island

On 22 October 2025, Trilla G's album "Take Me As I Am" comes out with thirteen titles. A Plus Musik signs two of them: "Nobody" with Stalk Ashley, and "Single Again", both co-produced with DernzMusik. The album ranks 4th among the best Caribbean albums of the year according to Billboard.

It is one of the first times a Bouyon title produced from the US Virgin Islands has taken a major carnival award in Dominica. The 2026 mapping keeps him on that basis as a bridge between the two islands on the featurings that cross the Caribbean.
