Maeva Ingrid Alphonse releases "Kay vé yo" in July 2023 and signs one of the most shared Bouyon Gwada singles of the year. The line "Je m'appelle Shanika et j'adore le Nutella" becomes a TikTok meme travelling beyond the West Indian sphere, one of the rare cases where a Bouyon Gwada title generates a viral effect outside the usual fan circuit, through a community mechanism of appropriation. Sa dou 2023: the bridge with the first Gwada wave and the New Bouyon Wave

That same year, "Sa dou" with 1T1 and Miky Ding La puts Shanika on the bridge between the first Bouyon Gwada wave and the New Bouyon Wave. It is a strategic featuring: 1T1 is a canonical NBW voice, Miky Ding La a historic hardcore Act II Gwada voice. That triangulation gives her a scene credibility the Nutella moment alone would not have held over time. A remix with Mr Vegas, a Jamaican dancehall legend, pushes her name beyond the Bouyon circuit.
