In 2025, "Sé Miimii" with DJ Skycee becomes the first Gwada Bouyon single reviewed by Pitchfork, and MiiMii KDS is the voice carrying that moment.
"In Di Corner" with 1T1 in January 2026 extends the trajectory, and the features around her with Lucky lukee and DJ Skycee's production place her at the heart of the core pushing the New Bouyon Wave beyond Guadeloupe. She follows up with "Bodé," again with DJ Skycee and Lucky lukee, then "Danger" alongside Merveille, before linking back with Niska for "Pow Pow / Allo Doudou," featuring Litleboy.
In July 2026, she appears on "ON DOZ," a feature from Miky Ding La's EP MDL Acte 1, again with Lucky lukee.
After that run of releases, MiiMii KDS remains announced for Les Flammes 2026: she belongs to the new generation of female voices who no longer wait for mainland market validation to exist, they earn it by speaking directly to fans, single after single, on their own terms.
From "An Sou" to "Sé Miimii": the young voice from Sainte-Rose
MiiMii KDS is a voice from Sainte-Rose, Guadeloupe, and one of the youngest on the scene at 19. She first gets noticed on features, pushed by Lucky lukee: her breakout track is "An Sou" in 2023 with Lucky lukee, before "Lollipop" in 2024. Then comes the real switch: "Sé Miimii" in 2025, produced by DJ Skycee, a bouyon track that goes viral and installs her as one of the rare female voices on the scene holding a large audience. Her gimmick, "Sé Miimii ki dèyè sa", becomes her signature.
Sé Miimii 2025: the first Pitchfork review of Bouyon Gwada
In 2025, "Sé Miimii" with DJ Skycee marks the most concrete turn in MiiMii KDS's run, it is the first Bouyon Gwada single reviewed by Pitchfork. International specialist press, until then almost absent on bouyon, takes note of the genre through a female voice and the hyperactive production of DJ Skycee, who sets the writing standard. The track is not a one-off: Beatport lists it, and it follows the 2024-2025 features that built the network's credibility ("WITH SOME BOYZ" with DJ Skycee and Lucky lukee, "Shake it" with DJ Luchshiy and Lucky lukee, "Knock Knock" with Shanika). That continuity is exactly what makes the Pitchfork moment readable, not an isolated hit, but a scene that has been pushing for several cycles. In January 2026, "In Di Corner" with 1T1 extends the run and consolidates the Gwada platform network.
Les Flammes 2026 and the new generation of women
In 2026, MiiMii KDS crosses a line few Bouyon Gwada artists had reached: on 30 May she opens for Aya Nakamura at the Stade de France, alongside other young voices picked for those event shows, and the national press nicknames her "the mini Theodora". The same year she signs a feature with rapper Niska, a direct bridge to French rap. The announcement of her presence at Les Flammes 2026 confirms she belongs to a new generation of female voices that no longer wait for mainland validation to exist. They get it by speaking straight to the fans, single after single, on their own terms. She is part of that new wave of women in bouyon, with Faithii, Shanika, Totally Spice's, Fallon, no longer isolated exceptions but a scene of their own.
