Holly G, the Basse-Terre female trio breaking through in 2021

Holly G is not one singer: it is a family trio from Guadeloupe, on the Basse-Terre side between Trois-Rivières and Vieux-Habitants. Holly and her two nieces. They break through in 2021 with "Bandit (Oui Oui Oui)", produced by Litleboy, the track that wins over the clubs and installs them in Bouyon Gwada. The same year, "Je l'ai vu" with Arendi drives the point home. In a scene where few women get through, the trio opens a lane, and that "Je l'ai vu" will become the first bouyon track by a French-Caribbean artist certified gold single in France, in July 2025.

BET Awards 2024 nomination : the first Guadeloupean act at that level

In 2024, Holly G lands a BET Awards nomination in the Best New International Act category. It is the first Guadeloupean bouyon group to reach that American institutional level. The nomination is not just an individual reward: it opens a door no one will close again for the Bouyon Gwada voices coming next. Three years after "Bandit", their trajectory moves from the local circuit to the international R&B-dancehall Caribbean conversation.

The Theodora collaboration and the Eurockéennes Belfort 2025 stage

In 2025, Holly G collaborates with Theodora on "Coller la petite". The single connects them to Theodora's pop audience. The same year, the Eurockéennes Belfort 2025 line-up "Bad Gyal Bouyon Le Bon" programs them with Totally Spice's, a real mainstream slot, Holly G as female headliner. It is a voice that opens the door from the top: through the BETs, through the big festivals. The Holly G collective, with its aliases "6 Tresses" and "Cheveux Rouge", tours between Guadeloupe and France, one of the few Bouyon Gwada projects holding both markets. The voice bringing the genre into the big league is also the one pushing its limits further than any other Bouyon Gwada formation has over time.
