Back then, Dominican Bouyon isn't yet a streaming platform business, it's a culture of groups, stages, Carnival. Legacy Band finds its place in this generation, alongside Effects Band, All Star Band, Cross Vibes Band, Ignition Band and Explosive Band. These groups don't dominate today's Spotify pages, but they let Triple Kay International scale up and prepare the 2010s solo generation, Asa Bantan, Mr Ridge, REO, Signal Band.
Legacy Band belongs to the Dominican live layer of Bouyon, those bands active in the 2000s which extend the WCK matrix and accompany the expansion of Triple Kay International. That generation of groups is essential to understanding how Bouyon becomes, over the 2000s, a stage culture in the strong sense: carnivals, trucks, local parties, live programming, and a circuit of bands keeping the musical language alive between the solo record ruptures.
Legacy Band is not part of the core of solo artists dominating the platform scene today. But it counts among the secondary bands: Effects Band, All Star Band, Cross Vibes Band, Ignition Band, Explosive Band, Legacy Band. These outfits form the historical thickness of the genre. Without them, the Bouyon story of the 2000s would shrink to the headline names alone.
The 2000s bands, Legacy Band included, are an essential background weave for understanding the passage between the WCK founding of the 1990s and the solo generation emerging in the 2010s with Asa Bantan, Mr Ridge, REO or Signal Band.
