Pa Pel is a rising bouyon voice from Dominica. The name is also written Papel: a nickname a friend, who has since passed away, gave him abroad. He has been writing since high school and names his big brother, Trilla-G, as his first inspiration. On October 3, 2026, Trilla-G introduces him to the public and makes it clear he is, literally, his younger brother.
On September 28, 2026, Trilla-G gathers young voices from across Dominica for the Up Next Bouyon Cypher, filmed at the Lot Bar and Grill. On October 2, "Up Next Cypher, Vol. 1" comes out on Still Trill Ent. Pa Pel goes sixth, out of seven voices. The video goes past 100,000 views in twelve days.
On October 14, "IDGAF" comes out: 2 minutes 24, written and performed by Pa Pel, produced by Kwib La Beats and ThaWizZarD, with Trilla-G as executive producer. The song comes out of the cypher by popular demand, after a clip Trilla-G puts at over 200,000 views on TikTok.
On October 19, the show The Flaming Table hosts him with G'z Up and Prhymex. He says there he does not consider himself an artist yet, and wants people to know him before the stage.
A name brought back from abroad, a brother to look up to
Pa Pel is a rising bouyon voice from Dominica, and Trilla-G's younger brother. He turns 20 in November 2025. He has been writing since high school, mostly rap at first. His role model, he says it plainly: his big brother, whom he watched grow up in music.
The name comes from far away. Abroad, a friend he does business with keeps calling him "Papel". That friend has since passed away. Back in Dominica, Pa Pel tells the story to his crew, who start calling him Papel too, and the name sticks. On Instagram, his motto fits in three words: "Prove Dem Wrong".
The Up Next Bouyon Cypher, a verse written in the moment
A cypher is a round on the mic: several voices on the same riddim, each one stepping up for a verse in turn. On September 28, 2026, Trilla-G gathers young voices from across Dominica at the Lot Bar and Grill for the Up Next Bouyon Cypher. When he pitches the project to his brother, he names two artists people already know, Ras B and Avatar Omish. Pa Pel understands this is going to matter. He does not bring an old verse: he sings what he hears in the riddim, all of it new.
On October 2, "Up Next Cypher, Vol. 1" comes out on Still Trill Ent. Pa Pel goes sixth of seven, just before Prhymex. The audience follows right away. On October 6, the creator Boni b posts her video reaction and tags him. On the 7th, the I Love Bouyon page shares behind-the-scenes footage and names Pa Pel and Prhymex as two fan favorites. The cypher video goes past 100,000 views in twelve days, and has more than 128,000 on October 22.
"IDGAF", the verse that became a single
On TikTok, a clip of his part goes past 200,000 views, according to Trilla-G. On October 13, his brother asks who is ready for the full song. On the 14th, "IDGAF" comes out on Still Trill Ent.: 2 minutes 24, written and sung by Pa Pel. The riddim is by Kwib La Beats and ThaWizZarD, who also mixes it. Trilla-G steers the release as executive producer, and Shan GrapArt designs the artwork.
On October 19, Pa Pel takes a seat at The Flaming Table, an online show on ThaWizZarD's YouTube channel, with G'z Up and Prhymex, for 56 minutes. He keeps his feet on the ground. He does "not even" consider himself an artist: just a young man making music, and people like it. A stage? Not yet, he wants people to get to know him a little more first. And what comes next fits in two words: more music.
