Dada

Dada is a Dominican producer, founder of the dada-manufakture company. Wikipedia names him, with artist ASA, among those who made bouyon soca popular across the Caribbean; the article credits Saint Lucian Ricky T, with "Pressure boom" (2007), as the title that blended the two genres. Bouyon soca is a cross-genre fusion, a bridge between two neighbouring genres, not a sub-genre of bouyon in the strict sense, and Wikipedia devotes a dedicated article to it. Dada tells Medium that his productions need a "bouyon sound" because he comes from Dominica.

In 2019, "Famalay" is co-produced by Dada, performed by Skinny Fabulous (Saint Vincent), Machel Montano and Bunji Garlin (Trinidad). According to Dada's official website, the title wins the Trinidad and Tobago Road March in 2019. The Medium long-form "The Dominican producer behind the monster Soca hit Famalay" documents the role of Dada as the track's producer. Interviewed by Medium on 17 January 2019, Dada says the rhythm already existed and was meant for another project, that he sent it to Skinny Fabulous, who built the concept and wrote the track, and that Machel Montano and Bunji Garlin then came on board. Medium describes a bouyon-influenced track produced in Dominica.

On 15 December 2025, Mad Decent releases "G.O.A.T. (Bouyon Mixes)", three tracks by Major Lazer with America Foster and Bunji Garlin. Two are bouyon remixes: one by Precision Productions (Trinidad), the other by Dadamanufakture, the name under which Dada produces. Apple Music's credits name it Remixer and Producer of the "Dadamanufakture Bouyon Mix", and Soca News (6 January 2026) presents it as coming from Dominica. The link between that name and Dada rests on his official website, which calls him founder of the dada-manufakture company, and on the dadamanufakture YouTube channel, which publishes the remix on 18 December 2025.
