A monthly listener count measures an audience on one platform, not the value of a beat. A beatmaker can sign the record everyone sings at a party and still sit low on this list: production credits do not always surface on a Spotify artist page.
The distinction matters too. Here, the beatmaker builds the beat, the producer carries and funds the project. Two jobs, two rankings. This one counts the first group only.
Five names well known on the Gwada scene are missing for lack of a usable page, and that is not an oversight. Dinho has three scattered profiles at zero listeners, his credits badly merged by distribution. DJ Weez cannot be found, the only namesake traced is from Martinique. Vador has no solo page, he only appears through the Yellow Gaza collective. Neither does DJ Joe. Diixly falls outside the scope: he comes from France, not Guadeloupe.
VJ Ben drops off this list for a different reason: he is a DJ and a producer, not a beatmaker. He carries projects, he does not build the beats. That is exactly the mix-up this ranking sets out to avoid.
