DJ Skaylone starts in December 2017 from Bouillante, on the Basse-Terre side, one of the most discreet geographies in platform Bouyon Gwada. His "Chris Riddim", billed "Bouyon 2018", opens a run of free-download instrus on YouTube, a classic producer model moving the sound without a middleman: "Guitare Riddim" in 2018, "Noel Rive" in late 2018, then "Chrismas Skay Riddim" in 2020 under the Skay Beats alias.
In April 2018, he also remixes "I See You Baby" into bouyon with Doc J. In November 2020, his name sits in the title of a Team Bwè Tou Sa video: "50/50", with Lestef KJF, "prod by DJ SKAYLONE". From 2024 onwards, releases shift to platform mode: "Sa Ka Bay" with TIITII NBA drops on December 20, 2024 via Heaven Studio, then "No Time" on September 24, 2025, a single whose credits show the shared composition.
"DJ Skaylone" is the spelling of his releases and YouTube channel; his SoundCloud account keeps "ti-skylone". Both spellings refer to the same person.
Bouillante, late 2017: the first trace
When DJ Skaylone puts his "Chris Riddim" online in December 2017, billed "Bouyon 2018", he works from Bouillante on the Basse-Terre side, not the Pointe-à-Pitre / Les Abymes axis associated with platform-era Bouyon Gwada. That geography counts: while the first Gwada wave concentrates on the Grande-Terre side, Skaylone builds his catalogue from the other side of the island. In April 2018, he also remixes "I See You Baby" into bouyon with Doc J. The model is a classic of 2010s beatmakers: YouTube, free download, and the instrumental circulating from WhatsApp to WhatsApp.
Instrumental riddims: the YouTube method
Between 2017 and 2020, Skaylone releases four documented riddims as free downloads: "Chris Riddim" in late 2017, "Guitare Riddim" in 2018, "Noel Rive" in late 2018, billed "Bouyon 2019", "Chrismas Skay Riddim" in 2020. He also operates under the alias Skay Beats, his official YouTube channel. No streaming platform at that point for those titles, just the channel he feeds himself. That model is what built the grammar of instrumental Bouyon Gwada: one beatmaker, one riddim, one free download, and any artist can lay on it. In November 2020, Team Bwè Tou Sa hands him "50/50", with Lestef KJF, and the official video reads "prod by DJ SKAYLONE".
2024-2025: the platform tilt with TIITII NBA
The real turn comes with two singles co-signed with TIITII NBA. "Sa Ka Bay" comes out on 20 December 2024 on Heaven Studio, then "No Time" on 24 September 2025. The Qobuz credits for "No Time" are rare within the Bouyon network: DJ Skaylone is credited for both the composition and the instrumental, TIITII NBA for the lyrics. The single runs in 24-Bit/48 kHz, high-resolution quality format. "DJ Skaylone" is the spelling of his releases and YouTube channel; his SoundCloud account keeps "ti-skylone". Both designate the same person.
