Before the New Bouyon Wave, "Wa wa Waaaw" with 1T1 in October 2022 lifts both names at once , produced by 1T1. When "New Bouyon Wave #1" drops in September 2023, Theomaa is one of the five voices on it , with TIITII NBA, Nils, DJ Softee and Aknose. That single gives the movement its name, and Theomaa is one of the eight who carry it.
His path is built mainly as a duo with 1T1, who produces for him: "Bouwey" 2025 (composed with Dinho), "Viniw" 2025, "Ouba" 2025, "Baddest" 2025 with Matieu White. Four singles, same tandem. As early as the Keneth Riddim (June 2023), "Piney" with 1T1 and Le Juh sets his short hooked writing in place; in 2024, "Leave Me Alone" with 1T1, Binksdrick, Dinho and Le Juh stretches the network out.
In 2026, "Move" brings YSN, Aknose, Le Juh, 1T1 and Qwann around him, the New Bouyon Wave really plays as a crew, not a stack of solo careers. Theomaa is the voice you hear on the hooks that stay.
Guadeloupe, the AB Boyz collective and the "Wa wa Waaaw" spark
Theomaa grew up in Guadeloupe and built himself inside AB Boyz, the Guadeloupean collective that brings together Young Chang MC, Matieu White and 1T1. That crew is where his voice finds its place. His real way in is not a solo single: it is "Wa wa Waaaw", in October 2022, produced by 1T1. The track takes off, more than a million views on YouTube, and puts both names on the map at once. For many listeners, that is where they hear Theomaa for the first time, and the AB Boyz label says it plainly: "Wa wa Waaaw" is what revealed 1T1 and Theomaa to a wide audience. Before the awards and the big features, there is that spark.
From the breakout to the New Bouyon Wave
A year after "Wa wa Waaaw", the wave started by the Keneth Riddim gets its name. In September 2023, "New Bouyon Wave #1" brings five voices onto the same track: TIITII NBA, Nils, DJ Softee, Aknose and Theomaa. He is in from day one, one of the eight names carrying the wave. From there he settles mostly alongside 1T1, who produces for him. The pair keep going: "Bouwey", "Viniw" and "Ouba" in 2025, then "Baddest" with Matieu White. The formula is simple and brutal. 1T1 builds the beat, Theomaa lands the hook that sticks, and it makes the tandem one of the most consistent duos on the scene. "Piney" with Le Juh, then "Leave Me Alone", widen the circle beyond the duo.
Bouwéy, the gold record and the stage in 2026
The peak is "Bouwéy": the track with 1T1 passes 18 million views on YouTube, earns a gold record and lands a nomination at the Flammes Awards 2026 in the Caribbean category. In 2026, Theomaa does not slow down. "Wouloo" with 1T1 extends the tandem, and the collective shifts to the stage: AB Boyz stack up shows, with a much-awaited date at the Vélodrome in Baie-Mahault on 21 March 2026. From the AB Boyz crew to the gold record, Theomaa stays what he has been since "Wa wa Waaaw": the voice you remember on the hooks.
