The accent as a signature

Real Reel is a rapper and singer from Dominica. Corel A. Dominique in civil terms, born on 31 May 1999. His official presentation holds in one sentence he repeats identically across every platform: a strong voice, hip-hop and rap poured into Bouyon, and an accent he owns as his trademark.

The detail counts. In a genre where the production often leads the dance, he puts forward what he does with his voice. That is what places him on the writers' side of the Dominican scene rather than on the rhythm-makers' side.

From Scrolling to Stick, the year that accelerates

The catalogue opens in 2025 with "Scrolling" and "wHat did iT ?", then "Doh Play" where he meets Gwada G again. Three releases, a year of setting up.

2026 is nothing like it. "Comic" lands and takes the lead among his entries on the Apple Music chart for Dominica. Behind it, it does not stop: "Chappa", "Dislocate", "To Tha Top", "Other Man", "Copy Who ?", "Cry Me A River". As of 25 July 2026, four of his singles sit in that chart at once, a place few artists on the island hold within a single year. On 13 July, "Stick" comes out with Quan and Mr.Keyz.

In parallel he lays down on other people's releases and the network reads in the credits: "WGFT Bouyon" with Gwada G carried by Xavvoknockin, "Shake Your" with Quan carried by Little Boy, "SHI GI DAY" with DJ Taffy, "Island Girl" with breezethru. The Dominican core in full.

The duel with Gwada G, and the first trip off the island

Carnival 2026 puts him everywhere: Tropikini, The Lot, and a run of dates where he shares the billing with Gwada G, Freddy and DJ Taffy. Between the two men, the face-off has become a fixture the audience asks for. The explanation lies in the organisation: Real Reel and Gwada G are booked by the same agency, Vibe Syndicate, which happily programmes them together.

2026 also marks his first step outside the Caribbean, with Soca & Mimosas in Italy. He is then announced at the Soufrière DiveFest, on 29 and 30 August 2026, alongside N I C E. The trajectory is still young, but the release rate and the carnival presence make him one of the voices carrying Dominican Bouyon this year.
