In short. "Bouyon Talks" is Love Bouyon's video interview series, centered on Dominica's bouyon. As of October 7, 2026, it counts seventeen guests in full interviews, from January 11 (Klassiq) to October 7 (Gwada G, part 2). You will find voices from WCK and Triple Kay, artists of the new generation like Erwinchy and Freddy, producers, and figures of the island's culture. The interviews are in English: this guide tells you who speaks, about what, and where to start.

These interviews tell bouyon through the people who make it. But they run from 14 minutes to 1 h 29, and it can take a while to find what you came to hear. Here is the map, guest by guest, with the date, the length and what the episode announces. The links to each video are in the "Listen and check" section, at the bottom of the page.

The voices of the genre's history

Mr Delly, a member of WCK, is the guest of episode 10, on April 19 (50 minutes). On the program: the story of "767", the meaning of the "Di Lady" chant, and the Raw Reedim years with Rah and Rohee.

Kendal Killa Laurent, a founding member of Triple Kay International, fills episode 8, on March 29 (1 h 29). He talks about the origins of Triple Kay (now TK International), how bouyon came out of real life, the modern sound, the story of "She Know Di Way To My Home (Take The Bus)" and the genre's rivalries.

Chum Dada, singer and beat maker of MFR Band, a Portsmouth band presented as having left its mark on the late-2000s bouyon scene, tells the path that led him to the band, from his beginnings with Nature Boys to programming beats. Interview of August 19, 1 h 07.

The new generation

Erwinchy is the guest of episode 4, on February 1 (19 minutes): defending nasty business, realizing bouyon can become real income, singing for the ladies. Nice follows in episode 5, on February 8 (50 minutes): his Tarish Pit community, bouyon defended as a genre of its own, the Rize and Whine freestyle that went viral, and composing "Wake Me Up" with Gwada G.

Freddy, episode 7, on March 15 (33 minutes), tells how he started on the mic at Island Tours, "Flat Bottom", the single that put him on the map and that he recorded with DJ Taffy without planning it, and his appearance on Gwada G's "Up To". The band Riddim Knockaz, presented as one of the island's youngest, comes from Portsmouth and takes episode 2, on January 18: the Long Run, the tours, the 2026 trends. And Klassiq, episode 1, on January 11 (39 minutes), talks about his village of Calibishie, what happened with Ignition Band and his solo career.

Gwada G has two parts: September 30 (15 minutes) for his journey, the new generation and bouyon beyond Dominica, October 7 (14 minutes) for the rest of the interview. He also explains where his name comes from.

Those who make the singles

Freeze, episode of April 26 (44 minutes), tells how he made his bouyon remix of Adele's "Love in the Dark", how the riddim of "Take The Bus Baby", posted on his TikTok in September, went viral, and how he warns artists when a riddim contains a sample. Find his profile: Boy Freeze.

Tha Wizzard, episode 9, on April 12 (50 minutes), talks about the difficulties bouyon artists face, his influences, titles people do not know he produced, and talent spotted early, including Reo, Trilla-G and Keks. He also covers the use of samples.

Dova, a member of the Cross D Bridge movement, on June 7 (41 minutes), details how the team writes and records titles in freestyle, without prepared lyrics. And DJ Wizz, on September 2 (35 minutes), is a DJ, producer, promoter and graphic designer at once: Antigua Carnival, TK International during Dominica Carnival, and his ventures Wizz-Kid Recordz and Wizard Gang Muzik.

The island's culture, beyond bouyon

Four episodes step outside pure bouyon, and Li Li Octave's says so itself: a different direction from the usual bouyon-centered conversations. Tasha P, on May 31 (50 minutes), tells of her village of Loubière and the night she became Dominica's first female Calypso Monarch. Daddy Chess, episode 6, on March 1 (34 minutes), looks back on his 2026 Calypso Monarch title, the Road March and the King of the Tent. Shalina Samuel, on July 5 (22 minutes), goes through First Serenade, Swinging Stars, Ti Orkest, then her time in Antigua with Burning Flames. Li Li Octave, episode 12, on May 10 (47 minutes), talks about Jazz & Creole, her voice and Caribbean Neo Soul.

Where to start

Three paths, depending on what you are after. To hear WCK and Triple Kay from the inside: Mr Delly (episode 10), then Kendal Killa Laurent (episode 8). To see how a single is made: Freeze, then Dova. To hear the new generation without losing your afternoon: Gwada G, part 1, 15 minutes.
