Position 0 — This special tells a turning point in 1T1's career: the day the behind-the-scenes producer opens his own house. The label is called KMR Héritage, the company was created on 1 February 2026 in Guadeloupe, and 1T1 announced it publicly on 10 July 2026 on Loxymore. The name is no accident: KMR reads as Ka Marron, and everything sits inside that word.
You may know 1T1 for Bouwéy, that single with Theomaa that became an international success. But behind that name there is first a sound builder, a man who raised the wave for others before raising it for himself. In 2026, he reaches a milestone few artists of his generation reach in Guadeloupe: he becomes the owner of his own label. Here is how you get there, and what it means.
I — The behind-the-scenes producer
Before he is a name the platforms display, 1T1 is a pair of ears. It all starts at age 3: his uncle Thierry Cham introduces him to gwoka. Ten years of traditional percussion to train the ear, a production school in France, then keyboard self-taught on YouTube. When he arrives in Bouyon, he doesn't only want to sing: he knows how to build a beat.
That role is what makes him central. A large part of the New Bouyon Wave runs through his machines. He builds Theomaa's instrumentals on Bouwéy, Ouba, Viniw, Baddest. He produces for Aknose and Le Juh. He signs Mr Ridge's beats on Do Baby and She Stupid in 2025, a direct bridge between the Dominica scene and Guadeloupe's. Before the wave has a name, he builds its ground with his One Riddim projects: one instrumental, several voices coming to measure themselves on it.
Composer, producer, singer: three roles 1T1 takes on without favoring one.

In May 2025, RFI Couleurs Tropicales hosts him as one of the voices of the new bouyon generation. Bouwéy is certified gold, crosses 18 million views on YouTube and earns a nomination at the 2026 Flammes Awards in the Caribbean song category. Public recognition is here. But in his head, one idea has been turning for a long time: to have his own structure.
II — Ka Marron: the name as a manifesto
A label carries a name, and a name tells an intention. 1T1's says everything about his direction. KMR reads as Ka Marron.
The K stands for the Caribbean, and above all for Karukéra, the name the first inhabitants gave to Guadeloupe. The rest is the marron, marronage: that freedom you don't ask for, that you go and take for yourself. Historically, the marron is the one who flees servitude to live free. 1T1 turns it into a work ethic: don't follow the others, leave the beaten path, try to go further.
We branch off, we leave the beaten path. We want our freedom.

Choosing that name is not decorative. It sets a frame. The house he opens is called KMR Héritage because it means to be a transmission as much as a company: keep a trace, leave something behind, hold a claimed Caribbean line.
III — From producer to owner
The label's story is one of patience. 1T1 had wanted his structure for a while, but he says it himself: he was still missing the knowledge. So he learned on the ground. He produced, he mentored, he saw how things worked across collaborations with the whole scene. Then, once the experience had built up, he took his label, thanking everyone who had passed through his career.
On paper, the company KMR Héritage is created on 1 February 2026 in Guadeloupe, in Les Abymes: a sound-recording and music-publishing structure. Production, publishing, distribution, studio, artist development: the full toolkit of a real label. Then comes the public announcement. On 10 July 2026, 1T1 makes KMR Héritage official on the air of Loxymore. The behind-the-scenes producer now has a house in his name.
IV — What's coming, and a word for the young scene
1T1 doesn't stop at the announcement. He promises movement: collaborations on the way, exports, something new for Guadeloupe. The meeting point is on YouTube. Stay tuned, he says, because what comes next will speak.
But the message that stays is the one he addresses to the young scene. He repeats it like a rule of collective survival.
Stay tight with one another. Give each other strength, even when it's hard. When the work is good, say it. When it isn't, say it too: when it's not good, everyone falls, when it's good, everyone rises. We move forward together.

It's a marron's philosophy, deep down. Freedom isn't won alone. It holds together, in a collective that tells itself the truth and refuses to follow blindly. KMR Héritage is that idea turned into a company.

1T1 and TIITII NBA ride the same wave, that of the New Bouyon Wave, and crossed paths on the single No Sex Over Money. If this special made you want to hear where this collective takes the genre, the way in is right here.
