Youry Fleming

Youry Fleming is one of the three names giving the acronym YMW: Youry, Mathieu, Wizito. The local press SoualigaPost places him at the direct origin of the first Saint Martin Bouyon title. In April 2015, on a party bus in Sandy Ground (Saint Martin), he is 18 and hums a few bars of Tolly she want in front of his neighbour Mathieu Richardson. SoualigaPost reports more than 511,000 views in two months and presents it as the likely anthem of the 2017 SXM carnival. On 17 February, the SoundCloud version comes out under the title YMW (Tolly Boys) Ft Bilix. On Plonge, categorised Bouyon. In April, The Daily Herald announces the Tolly Boys on the main stage of the Carnival Village during the Youth Extravaganza.

After 2017, Youry Fleming's public trace in SXM Bouyon becomes sparse. What is documented with certainty is the founding gesture, a teenager who chooses to write his voice into the genre, from a small island split between French and Dutch, and who opens a scene with a simple test in front of a neighbourhood crowd.
