Vador

Vador is the connector who brought Bouyon into Guadeloupe. From 2007, Cédrick Raboteur — known as Vador, or Vadore — organised the first nights that brought Dominican singers onto Guadeloupean sound systems. With DJ Joe and Asa Banton, he built Yellow Gaza, the first stage bridge between Dominica and Guadeloupe.

Why this profile matters

At the start there isn't a release, there's a party. Around 2007, Vador teams up with his uncle and with Francky Belote, owner of the Krazy Tras, and plants Bouyon inside Guadeloupe's nightlife. That matrix — sound systems, parties, Dominican imports — opens the genre's Act II in Guadeloupe, long before the 2023 wave. Around him forms Yellow Gaza, with DJ Joe and Asa Banton: a connector collective, distinct from the Gaza Crew founded by Suppa. In 2009 he structures it all under the Vadore Concept label, which becomes for a decade the main channel for Bouyon in Guadeloupe — on November 16, 2011, it's on his SoundCloud that Suppa's "I Don't Kow" drops. Vadore Concept then strings together the stage dates: the Bouyon Music Live Tour in 2012, then the Bouyon Kings compilations and the Bouyon Kings Tour linking Guadeloupe, Martinique and Dominica. A promoter's presence, not a singer's — but without it, the first Gwada wave would have had no circuit.
