In Dominican Bouyon of the 2020s, you often get known during Carnival before dropping your first solo single. Rohie follows that path: he sits on the Dominica Carnival Starter Pack, the playlist that opens the door to voices active on the island during the season.
He's there with the same logic as other Dominican artists of his generation who first get noticed through compilations before going at the solo platform career. In October 2025, he took the stage at the 25th World Creole Music Festival in Roseau with the Bouyon Assembly collective, on the "Creole Carnival" night.
Rohie is one of the documented Dominican voices of the contemporary Bouyon generation. Like several artists of that same generation, his visibility runs first through Carnival compilations and platform playlists rather than through an extensive solo discography. The Dominica Carnival Starter Pack is the main marker anchoring him in the island's scene.
That compilation logic is central to understanding the Dominican Bouyon fabric of the 2020s: many artists exist first through their presence on Carnival Starter Packs, featurings and themed playlists, before building a documented public solo catalogue. The annual Carnival season structures much of the visibility of emerging voices, and Rohie is associated with it as a marker of that generation.
