DeeArr is a singer and songwriter out of Portsmouth, Dominica. Twenty years in the game. Hip-hop pioneer with Kru Tracks in the mid-2000s, back to the catalog in 2021 after an eight-year pause. Today, he stacks R&B-soca-bouyon singles and works with Konshens and Nailah Blackman.
DeeArr is a singer and songwriter out of Portsmouth, in the north of Dominica. The career starts in 2004. At that time, he's at the heart of Kru Tracks, one of the groups that lays down the Dominican hip-hop scene in the north of the island. In 2013, his single "Put It Down" hits number one on Tempo TV's Cross Caribbean Countdown. Then silence — eight years. In 2021, he returns with "Been Too Long (A Letter To Music)", a letter addressed to the music he had left behind. Two years later, in 2023, he drops his album "Sorry, Ain't Sorry". The machine restarts, and 2024 follows with "Teh-beh" and the Radio Edit of the album. 2025 is when everything kicks back. On January 24, 2025, he drops "Spoil You", produced by OnRepeat Music — a single nominated at the Dominica Music Awards. Right after come "Home With You", "Bumpa", "Dive In" and "R U Down (Tell Me Baby)". Same year, he appears on the album "777 Di Bouyon Rockstar" next to Nailah Blackman, Trinidad and Tobago soca royalty. 2026 confirms the regional trajectory. "Carnival Gopwell" and "On De Road" open the year, then on April 30, "Stand Up" drops with Konshens, Khallion and Boogy Rankss. That's the step up — Konshens is a name that carries weight in mainstream Jamaican dancehall. For DeeArr, the Portsmouth veteran who had disappeared for eight years, it's the signal of a comeback that's settling into the Caribbean conversation.
