On Monday, Yu Meï chooses to speak openly. The 29-year-old bouyon singer is the victim of intimate videos shared without her consent in online groups.
She files a complaint. She wants the whole chain examined: where the leak started, the groups that hosted the videos, and every person who passed them on. Receiving a video gives no right to show it or forward it, she points out. Sharing someone's intimate images without their consent is a criminal offence.
She also speaks to other victims: keep the evidence, go to the authorities, assert your rights. And she refuses to let this decide what comes next. She keeps creating, going out and working, head held high. "No one will take my light, I'm telling you."
