Lewismelo→On Friday, October 23, at Windsor Park stadium in Roseau, Colton T introduces a new voice to the World Creole Music Festival crowd: Timii Mignonne, 19, on that stage for the first time. "It was a bit nerve-racking, but Colton really pushed me to try my best," Timii says right after.
A week later, on October 30, Timii Mignonne joins the bill of the Karibbean Youth Festival, the youth edition of Karukera One Love. It runs on Sunday, December 20, from 2 pm to 9 pm, at the Milénis parking lot in Les Abymes. It is the first edition of a festival built for 9 to 15 year olds: concerts, games, sports and Caribbean culture. Edday, Lewismelo and DCAMP also carry the bouyon side of the bill, alongside Minuiski, Pépette, Badak and Jeune Aber.
Timii Mignonne's path so far comes down to two releases on ICM Records. On August 8, "Love On Repeat", written with Colton T. On October 9, "Petite Mignonne", which Timii writes alone over a Litle Boy riddim, at 2 min 52. After Roseau, next stop Les Abymes on December 20.
