Definition
Yellow Gaza is a collective/project that structured the first Bouyon Gwada wave. According to the Aknose interview at Sweet Times With Daryna (3 January 2026), Yellow Gaza is "the pioneer project that planted the seed in Guadeloupe" [I-15]. Oral genealogy links this project to Vador and DJ Joe — the figures who materially bring Dominican Bouyon to Guadeloupe.
2010-2014 activity
Booska-P explicitly places Yellow Gaza and Gaza Girls Crew as early as 2010 in public Bouyon Gwada chronology [S-9]. On 1 May 2012, Apple Music documents the release of `Bouwe'y` (Yellow Gaza feat Tasmo & Keytzone) — one of the first Yellow Gaza catalogue tracks. Vole Nonm a Moun (Apple Music) dates from later (2013), with visible presence through 2014.
Yellow Gaza's role in the first wave is not that of a classic artist-band — it is more of a collective/bridge aggregating voices, producers and nights. It works as an umbrella brand under which several configurations release tracks.
2021+ relaunch
After the end of the first wave (Suppa killed in 2013, Bouyon Gwada scene dormant 2014-2016), Yellow Gaza reappears from 2021 onward in the broader New Bouyon Wave context. Apple Music dates several Yellow Gaza releases 2021-2024, and Shazam credits Letin Sylia/Sylvia and Letin Séverine on recent tracks. This relaunch is not the subject of chap IV (which ends in 2013) — it is mentioned for historical traceability.
