Definition
RnBouyon is the fusion of R&B and slowed Bouyon: R&B vocals laid over slow Bouyon riddims. Fallon, a crossover artist from the French Caribbean (Martinique / Guadeloupe), is the first to claim the creation of the current and to give it a name, a fusion nobody had named before her. She opens it from 2024.
The voices
Fallon opens the sub-current, Denden picks it up in 2024-2025. Denden also links RnBouyon and Afrobeats, an example of contemporary crossover between scenes.
Boundaries
The category has its limits, set by chapter XII: not everything is RnBouyon because a voice turns melodic.
