In the greenery, a musician holds a long bamboo pipe over a tanbou. Next to him, a woman in a dress in the colours of the Dominica flag, a conch shell in her hand, smiles in front of a metal tube. These are the instruments of jing ping: boumboum, tanbou, syak.

On Thursday, October 15, Carlyn XP releases the visualizer for "Culture Me Love", 4:09, an ode to culture, heritage and the "Nature Isle". Cornell Phillip produces the song and plays every instrument except the bass, played by Keith Goddard. He records, mixes and masters at the Imperial Publishing studio, then films and edits the images. A week later, the counter shows more than 20,600 views, more than three times her most viewed video since 2025.

Cornell Phillip is one of the founding members of WCK, the band that pioneered bouyon. He describes how the boumboum became the bass guitar, the syak and tambal the drum machine, and the accordion the keyboard.

The song is not on Apple Music or Deezer yet: it plays on YouTube. In the week of October 19, the Bouyon Queen is also back on stage at Ti Vilaj Kwéyòl, at the Dominica Botanic Gardens.
